License Applications
Initial License – The first Kansas license
One Year Non-Renewable License – Available to people who have met all licensing requirements except the tests
Substitute License – Available to people who have completed a teacher education program, but do not have the other licensing requirements met
Emergency Substitute License – Allows people with 60 hours of college credit to be hired to substitute in a school
Adding Endorsements – Qualifies you to teach more than one subject
Provisional License – Available to licensed teachers who have part of additional endorsement completed
Professional License – A second level license that is maintained through professional development
Renewing your LIcense – Application available on KSDE website
