In addition to major instructional and research programs, the College of Education provides services to K-State faculty and students, local schools, and a variety of other entities in the state and region.

Centers

Center for Rural and Small Schools (CRESS)
The Center for Rural Education and Small Schools is dedicated to serving the needs and providing technical assistance to Kansas rural and small schools.

Center for Science Education
The mission of the Center for Science Education is to improve the quality of science, mathematics, environmental, and technology education throughout Kansas and beyond.

Collaborative Intercultural and Multilingual Advocacy Center (CIMA/ESL)
The CIMA Center offers inservice and preservice programs focused on teaching culturally and linguistically diverse students.

Midwest Equity Assistance Center (MEAC)
The Center provives technical assistance, professional development, and information dissemination in race equity, gender equity, and national origin equity.


Professional Organizations/Associations

Council for Public School Improvement (CPSI)
The CPSI focuses on enhancing effectiveness of instruction and increasing student achievement through targeted professional development.

National Academic Advising Association (NACADA)
NACADA seeks to enhance the development of students in higher education through effective academic advising, and is managed within K-State's College of Education.

Schools for Quality Education (SQE)
SQE gives identity, voice, and exposure to the particular quality of rural schools, purues the quality of excellence in education, and enhances the quality of life in the rural community.


Offices and Services

Catalyst
Catalyst provides technology support, creative services, instructional materials, and audiovisual equipment for faculty and students.

Copy Center
The Copy Center provides copying and binding services for faculty, staff and students.

Office of Educational Innovation and Evaluation (OEIE)
OEIE provides program evaluation services to colleges, departments, and programs within K-State and for the larger community, statewide, and nationally.

Office of Graduate Studies
The Office of Graduate Studies coordinates application and admission processes for graduate programs, maintains related documents and databases, and works with graduate students, faculty, and programs.

Partnerships

Kansas Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom (KFAC)
The Kansas Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom networks agricultural resources to classrooms through hands-on ideas integrating topics using all curriculum subjects.

Equity and Access Partnership
The purpose of the Equity and Access Partnership is to design, implement, evaluate, institutionalize, and disseminate a multi-institutional collaborative teacher preparation model to address the continuum of teacher development.

Negro Leagues Baseball Museum Partnership
The Negro Leagues Baseball Museum in Kansas City, Missouri focuses on the history of Negro Leagues baseball and has a partnership with the College of Education at K-State.

Professional Development Schools (PDS)
The PDS Partnership is a collaboration between the College of Education and 20 schools dedicated to preparing and developing teachers and improving teaching and learning.
